TAMIYA 1/20 Celica LB Turbo Gr.5
The Toyota Celica LB Turbo was a Group 5 car developed for the 1977 DRM (German Racing Championship). Based upon the road car Celica Liftback 2000GT, the car featured aerodynamic components such as bulging over fenders and rear wing. It employed numerous FRP body panels, which helped keep its weight down to a mere 860kg. Its body extensively modified by Schnitzer and a 2,090cc, 560hp inline-4 DOHC turbo engine was used. This car made its debut in July 1977. In October of the same year, it was achieved its maiden victory by beating the Porsche 935. This model kit captures the highly modified fastback form in style. A removable front cowl lets you take a closer look at the detailed 560hp engine underneath. The roll cage is recreated in the interior. Solid synthetic rubber tires are different widths front and rear, both with a realistic finish. Cartograf decals are included with the choice of No.56 or No.68 cars. Also includes a driver figure. Length: 240mm, width: 105mm, height: 61mm.
