1/72 NORTH AMERICAN P-51D MUSTANG
1/72 NORTH AMERICAN P-51D MUSTANG
Sketched out in a New York city hotel room in April 1940, the North American Aviation Co. went on to become one of the best fighters to come out of WWII. The U.S. Army Air Corps gave it the title of P (for pursuit) 51, and it was named Mustang by the British. Of the several variations of the Mustang, the P-51D is considered the definitive version and was the first to have the bubble canopy. At the conclusion of WWII, Mustangs were in operation all over the world. Tamiya has shrunken this weapon laden aircraft down to 1/72 scale as yet an other entry into the War Bird Collection. The beauty of this legend of American aviation is undeniable, and now is available as an authentically recreated plastic model kit. Ease-of-assembly has been given thorough consideration in the recreation of this masterpiece. Kit includes three sets of decals as well as two 75 gallon additional fuel tanks.
