1/72 CORSAIR F4U-1D

After enduring heavy losses to the Japanese Navy's Zero fighters in the early stages of the Pacific War, the U.S. Navy became focused on developing new fighters capable of turning the tides of aerial combat. Among those fighters was the Corsair, first developed to be a high speed, carrier-borne aircraft.Tamiya has recreated this aircraft in 1/72 scale, fully detailed down to the unique shape of the gull-wings.Markings are included for three types of aircraft.Kit includes two types of canopies, 8 rockets and two additional fuel tanks.
